Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team for night duty. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a residential setting, assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Follow individual care plans to ensure tailored support for each resident's needs. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on care and wellbeing. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations. Document daily activities and any changes in residents' conditions accurately in IT systems as required. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to continuously improve care practices.

Skills

Experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with residents and colleagues effectively. Ability to drive is advantageous for roles that may require transportation of residents or supplies. Familiarity with IT systems for documentation purposes is beneficial. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when required.
