Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and care to individuals in various settings, including care homes and home care environments. Your primary focus will be to enhance the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. Strong communication skills in English are essential, as you will be required to follow care plans and effectively interact with clients and their families.

Looking for care assistants to work 2 or 3 shifts over a 7 day period. Overtime available.

Shifts available:

20:00pm - 08:00am.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in their condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Follow individual care plans to ensure personalised support tailored to each client's needs. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members to provide a cohesive approach to care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

Previous experience in home care or a similar role is advantageous but not essential; we welcome those looking to start their career in care. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and communication is beneficial. A valid driving licence is preferred for roles that require transportation of clients. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients from diverse backgrounds. A commitment to providing high-quality care and a willingness to learn new skills within the role.
