Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our residents. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and physical activities as needed. Help prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions. Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Follow individual care plans and contribute to the development of these plans when necessary. Engage residents in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with residents and team members. Ability to drive is advantageous for community outings or appointments. Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is beneficial but not mandatory. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to work independently when required.
