We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Night Care Assistant to provide high-quality care during overnight hours. This role involves supporting patients with various personal needs in a safe and comfortable environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare settings, particularly in elderly care, Dementia care, or acute care environments, and possess strong communication and caregiving skills. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients requiring overnight supervision and assistance.
Duties
Monitor residents overall condition throughout the night, ensuring their safety and comfort.
Assist with activities of daily living such as hygiene, mobility and feeding.
Document patient care activities accurately using electronic systems, maintaining compliance with CQC regulations.
Respond promptly to resident calls or emergencies, providing critical support as needed.
Support residents with specialised needs including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, behavioral health, and physical disabilities.
Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control procedures.
Collaborate with leading staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Assist with transfers, positioning, and other mobility tasks to prevent falls or injuries.
Follow all protocols related to infection control, patient safety, and emergency procedures.

Skills
Prior experience in elderly care settings highly desirable.
Knowledge of resident documentation standards.
Experience working with vulnerable people including seniors, individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
Compassionate caregiving attitude with attention to detail.
Physical ability to assist with patient transfers using equipment, perform mobility tasks safely. This role is integral to providing compassionate overnight care for residents requiring continuous support through the night hours in a professional healthcare environment.
NVQ2 or care certificate desirable.
