Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in their homes or care facilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves assisting with daily living activities and promoting a positive environment for our clients.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans to reflect the needs of each client. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Observe and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

Experience in home care or care home settings is highly desirable. Proficient in English with strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and communication. Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting clients when necessary. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families. Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them meticulously. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential qualities for this role.
