About Cornelius House:

We are a small (20 bed), friendly Care Home for the Elderly in Fishbourne Village near Chichester. We have an excellent reputation and are known for our relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. We work to the "Mum test" the care and service we would expect for our parents, we provide as an absolute minimum. We are rated as Good with the CQC and have an Outstanding rating in the caring category.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary 12.60 per hour We operate the following shifts: 8pm- 8am - SLEEP SHIFT BETWEEN 11PM AND 5AM.*

Primary Responsibilities of Night Staff:

Personal Care and Continence support for residents Preparing food and drink Record Keeping and monitoring alerts via an online care planning system Reporting to Senior Night Carer Answering Call bells promptly Ensuring the safety and security of the home and residents.

Responsibilities of the Role:

To support the managers in the smooth running of the home overnight Applicant must show an excellent attention to detail Have an understanding of the high standard of record keeping required by CQC Be able to handle the responsibility of the post and emergency situations as they arise.

Requirements of the Role:

Able to cover Night shifts on a 2 week rota (3 nights per week) An ability to cover sickness and holidays is a good advantage NVQ or diploma level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable or working towards this level. A willingness to learn how to administer medication.
