Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Night Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to residents in a care home environment, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained. This role requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Support residents in following their individual care plans, ensuring that their specific needs are met. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a positive and engaging environment. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to the relevant professionals. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care is delivered effectively. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the care home environment at all times. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as required.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. A good command of English is necessary for effective communication with residents and team members. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and their families. Basic IT skills to manage documentation and communicate effectively within the team. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents when needed.
