Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, particularly in senior care settings, and possess the skills necessary to enhance the quality of life for our clients. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in delivering personalised care, ensuring safety, and promoting independence for those you support.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate and respectful personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition. Assist with case management tasks, coordinating care plans with healthcare professionals and family members. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport. Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with specific needs, including those living with dementia. Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home or care facility. Document care provided and report any significant changes in client health or behaviour to appropriate personnel. Foster positive relationships with clients and their families, promoting open communication and trust.

Experience

Previous experience in senior care or home care settings is preferred. Familiarity with dementia care and behaviour management techniques is advantageous. Proven ability to administer medication safely and effectively. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for providing high-quality patient care. A valid driving licence is required for transportation duties. Certification in relevant caregiving courses or training is a plus but not mandatory.
