Job Description

Hours - 7 nights over over a 2 week period, alternative weekends.

Duties include:

oTo provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the Senior Carer/Nurse

oTo support and enable individuals to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person-centred care unique to each individual

oTo maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as required, from time to time, to maintain and progress knowledge

The Carer's responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

oEnsure individuals are at the heart of care delivery and that their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing

oTo contribute to the efficient running of the service

oSupport individuals to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community

oEnsure personal plans and other information about how to support individuals are followed

oBe responsible for informing the Senior Carer/Nurse of any changes in the needs of individuals

oBe responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service

oDevelop effective working relationships with other employees within the service

oWork in cooperation with members of the multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for individuals

Be professional, polite and reasonable at all times;

Attend statutory training and any other training as directed by management;

Commit to achieving the relevant qualifications commensurate with the role;
