Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service, as well as the ability to operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries.

Duties

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all road regulations. Load and unload goods, securing cargo appropriately for transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during operations. Assist in the maintenance of the lorry, reporting any issues or required repairs promptly.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred. Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is advantageous. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
