Job Title: Night Shift Delivery Driver

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and committed Delivery Driver to join our team, primarily for a demanding

night shift

schedule. The ideal candidate will be crucial in ensuring the timely and safe transport of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong work ethic, the ability to manage heavy lifting during the loading and unloading process, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Schedule and Compensation

Hours:

40+ hours per week, Monday to Saturday (rota-based).

Shift:

Night shift, starting at 3:00 am.

Part-time hours are also available.

Pay:

Reviewed based on experience.

Key Responsibilities (Duties)

Operate a delivery van or vehicle safely and efficiently to transport goods. Load and unload items carefully, strictly adhering to all safety protocols, which includes required heavy lifting. Maintain clear and effective communication with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure the delivery van remains in excellent working condition. Accurately record all delivery details, including times, locations, and any discrepancies. Strictly comply with all road traffic laws and regulations.

Essential Requirements

A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record. Prior experience in commercial driving is a plus. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting as a regular part of loading and unloading goods. Previous professional experience as a delivery driver or in a similar logistic role is beneficial. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) for interacting with customers and team members. Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to be proactive in problem-solving and to work effectively both independently and within a team.
