Night Drivers Mate

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 48hours with overtime

Location: Pineham

What will you do?

The Drivers Mate will support drivers with deliveries, assist with loading and unloading goods, and ensures customer orders are handled safely and efficiently.

Objectives of the role as a Night Drivers Mate, include, but not limited to:

Assist with deliveries by supporting the driver with route navigation, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in accordance with the delivery schedule. Safely load and unload items from the vehicle at sites, warehouses, or customer locations. Lift and handle items safely and efficiently, adhering to safety guidelines and using lifting aids where necessary. Assist in completing all relative paperwork promptly and accurately. Confirm items for delivery against dispatch lists to verify accuracy and prevent errors. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the delivery vehicle. Ensure that all company policies are complied with including those that relate to H&S. Report immediately any breach of security, emergencies or accidents. Responsible for highlighting any potential quality issues, including hygiene and damage issues, to your Manager. Completion of necessary process control and quality documented records, in a timely manner (QC checks). Other operational tasks as directed/requested by operational staff. Spending nights away in hotels depending on location of our routes. Leading the crew when driver is on holiday.

Your CV and experience show:

The ability to deal with all required paperwork Basic PC literacy Physically capable of undertaking the work required. Physically capable of undertaking the work required after any reasonable adjustments have been made in the case of an individual with a disability Ability to work and complete tasks to set deadlines with a minimum of supervision. Familiarity with safety protocols for manual handling and loading practices.
