We are a warm, person-centred residential home in Wales providing high-quality care and support to older adults with a range of needs, including dementia, frailty, mental health conditions, physical disabilities and schizophrenia.
We are now seeking a
caring, reliable and dedicated Night Health Care Assistant
to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of vulnerable adults during the quiet, restful hours of the night.
What You'll Do
As a Night Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in:
Personal Care & Support
Providing safe, dignified personal care in line with individual care plans
Supporting residents with continence, repositioning, mobility and night-time comfort
Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any changes or concerns promptly
Emotional Support
Offering reassurance, calm communication, and companionship
Supporting individuals living with dementia, mental health needs, and complex behaviours
Health & Safety
Completing night checks, monitoring residents' safety, and recording observations
Following safeguarding, infection prevention and control, and medication procedures
Domestic & Housekeeping Duties (Night Routine)
Completing general cleaning of communal areas
Assisting with laundry, drying, folding and distributing items
Ensuring the home remains clean, hygienic and welcoming for the morning shift
Teamwork & Professionalism
Working alongside a supportive night team
Maintaining required documentation accurately
Following Welsh legislation including:
Regulation & Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016
Social Services and Wellbeing (Wales) Act 2014
Social Care Wales Codes of Professional Practice
What We're Looking For
You do
not
need to be fully qualified -- we welcome people with the right values, and we will support you with training.
We are seeking someone who is:
Compassionate and patient
Reliable with excellent attention to detail
Comfortable working nights
Able to support people with dementia and mental health needs
Willing to undertake cleaning and laundry tasks
A good communicator and team player
Experience is desirable but not essential
-- full training and induction are provided.
