We are seeking an experienced Hygiene Operative to join our team. Responsible for working across all the production areas, ensuring that all machines and the actual building fabric always meet strict standards of hygiene.
Key Accountabilities:
General cleaning around the factory and offices, as directed by the Team Leader or Head of Technical
High and low general cleaning of site, plant and fabrication, ensure meets required standards. Follow Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintain proper housekeeping and clean as you go
Following cleaning schedules for daily, weekly, monthly (3 monthly & 6 monthly) & annual tasks and accurately completing documentation.
Storing & handling chemicals correctly.
Regular lifting and moving of hygiene equipment in a safe manner
Deep cleaning of production areas
Remove and empty all waste receptacles
Post cleaning checks to make sure everything has been completed properly
Reviewing equipment and report any damages found
Making sure that everything you do complies with company procedures for Food Safety, Health & Safety and Hygiene
Ensuring that the cleaning equipment and personal protective equipment are always functioning correctly
Reporting any incidents or environmental concerns to your Team Leader or Manager
A strong commitment to and awareness of Health and Safety, as you'll be required to comply with our health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
A strong commitment to and awareness of Good Manufacturing Practice and the global standard for food safety
Ensure that products manufactured on site are legal, safe, authentic and of a high standard
Understanding & awareness of the dangers associated with hazardous substances and the practical steps that can be taken to eliminate or reduce the risks that they present (COSHH)

Any other reasonable duties as directed by management

Ideally, the successful candidate would possess the following attributes: -
Previous experience and/or knowledge of food safety standards such as BRC, customer audits and HACCP.
Experience in a similar role within a food manufacture environment
Highly self-motivated individual with a hands on approach and "can-do" attitude
Meticulous approach to work; well organised and with a keen eye for detail
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: 23,587.20-28,300.00 per year
