We're looking for a Night Hygiene Team Leader to join our team in Attleborough. In this key role, you'll lead a team of Hygiene Operatives to ensure the site is cleaned to the highest standards overnight, supporting food safety, compliance, and operational readiness for the next day's production.

About the Role

We're looking for experienced and motivated

Hygiene Team Leaders

to join our production team in

Attleborough

. Reporting directly to the

Hygiene Manager

, you will lead and coordinate a team of up to 50 Hygiene Operatives, ensuring exceptional hygiene, food safety, and operational standards in a chilled food manufacturing environment.

This is a key leadership role where you'll play a vital part in maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient production facility.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily hygiene operations across designated production areas. Motivate and manage a team to achieve performance targets and hygiene schedules. Monitor Health & Safety compliance and food hygiene standards. Complete all relevant hygiene records and reports accurately and on time. Support the Hygiene Manager in delivering KPIs and performance improvements. Ensure team members are fully trained in COSHH, GMP, and safe working practices. Communicate effectively with internal teams and escalate issues when necessary. Act as a point of contact during audits and inspections; ensure corrective actions are completed.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills Previous experience in a food manufacturing or hygiene-critical environment Proven ability to manage, coach, and motivate a team Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure Willingness to work in chilled conditions (between -2C to 3C) Basic IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) Knowledge of COSHH and safe chemical handling practices Willing to work weekends and flexible hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Level 2 Health & Safety or Food Safety qualification Experience leading or briefing small teams Ability to use M.E.W.P. and work at height (training can be provided) Experience writing reports or handovers
