Job Description

We are looking for a Registered Adult Nurse to work nights, who is compassionate and driven to make a difference to residents within their home. The ideal candidate must have Care Home experience providing skilled nursing care for frail elderly residents , people living with dementia and those with palliative and end of life care needs.

Job Purpose:

To provide skilled nursing care for residents, some of whom have palliative and end of life care needs. Also being able to support families throughout this. To raise clinical standards and be responsible for planning, assessing, implementing and evaluating resident care. Works effectively with community professionals, support services and members of the primary health care and palliative care teams. To support Registered Nurses, Senior Care Assistants and Care Assistants in implementing individualised plans of care. To lead and coordinate shifts managing the team of Care Assistants and volunteers, ensuring future shifts are adequately covered with staff according to the changing needs of the service. Support and contribute to an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

Strong patient care skills with a focus on individual needs In-depth knowledge of human anatomy and physiology Experience in a care home or nursing environment Ability to work effectively during night shifts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and empathetic approach to nursing care

Pay: From 20.54 per hour
