We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stafford, a category C Prison located in Staffordshire.

HMP Stafford has a capacity of 741 males.


Hours




This role is 37.5 hours per week Monday - Sunday service 7pm - 7.30am 4 week rolling rota

Please keep in mind as a night nurse there will be a requirement to do a day shift on rotation for ongoing professional development and support.


Salary





This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary between 33,232 - 40,211 depending on experience.

What you'll be doing




As a Night Nurse, your responsibilities will vary:


You will be an integral part of the healthcare team at HMP Stafford by bringing your clinical skills and passion for care Be involved in anything from developing and leading clinics, undertaking examinations and tests as well as answering emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency Duties to include IV administration of medication, administration of controlled drugs, palliative care including syringe drivers, managing complex patients working alongside a paramedic in response to attending emergencies.

Qualifications required:


NMC registered - (NMC) Evidence of Continued Professional Development Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working A non-judgmental and compassionate approach Excellent communication skills Understanding
