We are a family run hotel with 46 bedrooms, currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment to our bedrooms and common areas. With access to two stunning golf courses, a short walk to the beautiful Loch Leven and lots of local amenities, whether the reason for visiting is a golf, leisure or business trip, the Green Hotel is always a hit. This refurbishment, along with some exciting future plans, has led to the opportunity to recruit an additional Night Porter.

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Night Porter to join our team at The Green Hotel. The Night Porter will be responsible for providing excellent customer service during the night hours, ensuring the safety and security of guests and the property, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization.
Responsibilities
Guest Services:
Greet and assist guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.* Handle guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.* Provide basic information about the hotel, services, amenities, and local attractions.* Assist guests with luggage, if needed.* Assist on the Evening Bar, dispensing alcohol to company standards*
Security & Safety:
Monitor the premises to ensure the safety and security of guests and property.* Perform regular security checks throughout the hotel, including entrances, hallways, and exits.* Respond to alarms and emergency situations appropriately, following established protocols.*
Cleaning & Maintenance:
Ensure public areas (lobby, corridors, bathrooms, etc.) are always clean and well-maintained.* Assist with night-time cleaning tasks such as emptying bins, vacuuming, and tidying up.* Assist with breakfast set up ensuring the breakfast dining area is ready for service* Assist with function set ups, where applicable.* Report maintenance issues to the relevant department for prompt resolution.*
Administrative Duties:
Assist with administrative tasks such as logging guest arrivals, departures, and incidents.* Handle the night audit process (if required), ensuring accuracy in guest billing and hotel records.* Prepare for the morning shift handover by ensuring all necessary reports are up to date.*
Requirements
Prior experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.* Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.* Ability to work independently and handle responsibilities with minimal supervision.* Good communication skills, both verbal and written.* Physically fit and able to stand, walk, or move for long periods.* Ability to respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently.* Knowledge of basic security and safety protocols is an advantage.*
Additional Information:
Night shifts, typically from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM (flexible as needed).* Uniform provided.* Occasional overtime may be required.*
