: Live-In Night Porter
Location: Orchard Hotel, Falkirk

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated + self-motivated Live-In Night Porter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming + secure atmosphere for our guests, maintaining the cleanliness of the premises, + handling a variety of hands-on tasks throughout the night. Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Services + Security:
Greet guests warmly upon their late arrival + assist them with inquiries + requests.
Provide information about hotel services to enhance the guest experience.
Monitor CCTV systems + conduct regular security patrols.
Manage secure access, letting guests in + out as required.
Hands-On Maintenance + Cleaning:
Maintain impeccable cleanliness + orderliness of all public areas, including lobbies, corridors + restrooms.
Demonstrate a proactive 'see it, sort it' mentality, using initiative to address minor maintenance issues + complete tasks without direct supervision.
Highly Desirable Skills: Experience in minor joinery, plumbing, DIY, or general maintenance is a significant advantage.
Ensure all areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Collaborate with other teams by completing a detailed handover log for the day staff.
Shift Pattern:
Shift hours are typically from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, however flexibility is required.

Self-Motivated + Proactive: Able to work unsupervised, using initiative to identify + complete tasks.
Experienced + Conscientious: Possessing a background in hospitality or a similar role, with impeccable integrity + attention to detail.
Guest-Focused: Friendly, approachable, + committed to providing exceptional service.
Practical + Hands-On: Not afraid of physical work + able to handle a variety of cleaning + minor repair tasks.
Person Specification + Requirements:
Must provide at least two verifiable personal or professional references.
Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred.
Strong guest service skills with a friendly + professional demeanour.
Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous.
Physical fitness to perform cleaning duties + patrols.
