Night Porter


The Night Porter role is vital to our success, booking guests into the hostel, advising on our offering and services, assisting guests with enquires and questions, managing the Beds and Bars booking system, ensuring an effective hand over to the day team and working with the management team on security and safety. This is a full-time night owl position for people who will be available to work from 11pm - 9am.

Essential requirements


You must:


Be eligible or have all necessary documentation in which to be legally employed in the country, which you are based. All Documentation required by any Local/Regional/National certifying or Governing bodies in which to operate legally within you units' country. Have an up to date/active bank account in your own name. Be able to converse fluently in English. Where live in accommodation is not provided. Have a fixed place of residence and live within a reasonable travelling distance of the hotel/bar.

The Role - Main responsibilities


Booking guests into the Hostel, advising on our offering and services. Assisting guests with enquires and questions - everything from do you have a hairdryer? to when is breakfast serviced? Managing the Beds and Bars booking system, ensuring all office administration is accurate. Ensuring an effective hand over to the day team. Working with the management team on security and safety. Advising guests on London attractions. Previous experience in a customer-based role preferred but not essential.

Always be a good team player. Build and maintain good relationships with all team members. Work together with the team to ensure that the hostel/hotel is the best it can be. Be willing to take on jobs to balance the team workload. Be able to communicate well with people of all levels.
