Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Night Porter/Receptionist to ensure the smooth and secure operation of our facility during overnight hours. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with custodial duties, providing a welcoming environment for guests while maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the premises. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional service while upholding high standards of cleanliness and security.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist guests, visitors, and contractors arriving during night shifts, ensuring a positive first impression. Monitor security systems, conduct regular patrols, and oversee access control to maintain a safe environment. Handle all front desk duties including answering phone calls, managing inquiries, and directing visitors appropriately. Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to keep common areas tidy and presentable. Conduct janitorial and custodial duties including floor care, buffing, and basic maintenance to uphold cleanliness standards. Support facilities maintenance activities such as light repairs, reporting issues promptly, and assisting with general upkeep. Maintain accurate logs of shift activities, incidents, and security checks to ensure thorough documentation.

Qualifications

Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a focus on commercial or industrial cleaning environments. Familiarity with floor care techniques including buffing and polishing. Previous porter or facilities maintenance experience is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform routine cleaning tasks efficiently. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the facility, and perform physical tasks comfortably. Excellent communication skills coupled with a friendly demeanor suitable for guest interaction. Basic knowledge of safety procedures related to custodial work and facilities maintenance.
