Key Responsibilities
? Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy and
efficiency.
? Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly and courteously.
? Maintain an organised and clean reception area during night hours.
? Monitor and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
? Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
? Prepare and reconcile daily financial reports and ensure proper documentation.
? Assist with administrative duties, such as updating reservation logs and managing
guest lists.
? Ensure the security and safety of guests and staff during night hours.
? Conduct regular inspections of the lobby and entrance areas to ensure cleanliness
and order.
? Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless service and guest
satisfaction.
? Perform opening and closing duties as required, including balancing cash drawers
and preparing reports.
? Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
? Perform other duties as assigned by the Reception Manager, Front of House
Manager, and General Manager.

Financial
? Conduct the night audit process, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately
recorded and reconciled. Prepare and distribute financial reports for management
review.
? Monitor and ensure the accuracy of room rates, occupancy levels, and revenue
data. Implement strategies to maximize night-time revenue through effective
inventory management and upselling.
? Oversee night-time operations to ensure cost-effective use of resources. Monitor
and control departmental expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines.
? Manage cash transactions, including balancing cash drawers, processing
payments, and ensuring secure cash handling procedures are followed.
People
? Lead and supervise the night staff, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
Ensure all team members are performing their duties efficiently and to the highest
standards.
? Conduct training sessions for night staff, ensuring they are knowledgeable about
hotel policies, procedures, and services. Provide ongoing coaching and
development opportunities.
? Monitor and evaluate the performance of night staff. Conduct regular feedback
sessions and performance reviews, addressing any performance issues promptly.
? Ensure all guests receive a warm and welcoming experience during night-time
hours. Address guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and
courteous manner.
? Keep good timekeeping and report to work on time to main the moral hight within
the department.
Service & Product
? Oversee night-time guest services, including check-ins, check-outs, and room
assignments. Ensure all guest requests and issues are handled promptly and
effectively.
? Maintain high standards of service quality and guest satisfaction. Conduct regular
inspections of public areas and guest rooms to ensure cleanliness and compliance
with hotel standards.
? Address and resolve guest complaints and issues that arise during the night shift.
Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction and maintain a positive guest
experience.
? Stay informed about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions. Ensure night
staff are well-versed in promoting hotel offerings and providing accurate
information to guests.

? Oversee the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel during night-time hours.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
? Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff by adhering to
security protocols.
? Act as the primary point of contact for emergency situations during the night.
Coordinate and manage emergency procedures, ensuring the safety and well-
being of guests and staff.
? Maintain accurate records and documentation related to night-time operations.
Prepare and submit regular reports to the Front Office Manager and other relevant
stakeholders.
