We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position involves monitoring premises through surveillance systems, conducting regular patrols, and implementing loss prevention strategies to deter theft and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring that only authorised personnel are allowed entry. Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Utilise CCTV systems to monitor activities and respond promptly to any incidents or alarms. Implement effective loss prevention measures to safeguard company assets and property. Respond to emergencies, providing first aid assistance when necessary until professional help arrives. Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts. Collaborate with local law enforcement when required, maintaining a professional relationship with external agencies. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies while on duty.

Requirements

Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not essential. Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods. Familiarity with surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, is advantageous. Basic first aid certification is desirable; willingness to undergo training is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting incidents effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
