Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising and providing care to residents in our care home. Your role will involve assisting with care plans, communicating with residents and their families, and demonstrating leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and provide care to residents in our care home
- Assist with the development and implementation of care plans
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals
- Administer medication as required and ensure accurate record keeping
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Monitor residents' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Provide emotional support to residents and promote their independence and well-being
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding if necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
Experience:
- Previous experience in a senior care or similar role is preferred
- Knowledge of IT systems used in healthcare settings is an advantage
- Valid driver's license is preferred
Skills:
- Strong ability to supervise and lead a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and empathetic nature towards elderly individuals
- Ability to follow care plans and ensure the highest standard of care is provided
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
