We're looking for committed and confident Night Senior Care Assistants to join our team at Norton House, a small and friendly residential home in West Yorkshire. With a total occupancy of just 24 residents, we're proud to offer a supportive, person-centred environment where every team member makes a real difference. We currently have both 33-hour and 22-hour positions available.
This is a senior role that involves leading the night shift, ensuring the wellbeing and safety of our residents, and supporting the care team to maintain our high standards. You'll be working alongside other carers on shift, but you'll be responsible for leading and supervising the team, promoting good practice, and making sure the night runs smoothly from start to finish.
You'll be delivering hands-on care while also managing key responsibilities including medication administration, completing the nightly medication changeover, signing off incident reports and safeguarding concerns, and making any necessary referrals. Communication is key in this role , you'll liaise with professionals such as district nurses and emergency services when required, and you'll ensure a detailed and accurate handover is given to the day team each morning.
In addition to your nightly duties, you'll also be responsible for completing regular staff supervisions, helping to support and guide your team's development. You'll play an active role in care planning by monitoring and reporting changes in residents' needs, ensuring all records are kept up to date and aligned with person-centred outcomes.
We offer a full three-day induction to help you settle into the role, as well as ongoing training and the opportunity to complete NVQ qualifications. You'll always have access to the management team, and you'll be joining a close-knit home where your contributions are valued and your development is supported.
This role consists of 12-hour night shifts, with one weekend on and one weekend off. You may also be required to work some bank holidays and key dates such as Christmas and New Year. Free on-site parking is available, and a performance bonus is included as part of our benefits.
Please note: We are not able to offer sponsorship for this position.
If you're ready to take the next step in your care career and lead with confidence and compassion, we'd love to hear from you.
