We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Night Senior Care Assistant to join our compassionate care team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality support and supervision for residents during overnight hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your leadership will help maintain a warm, safe, and engaging environment for individuals with diverse needs, including those with dementia, developmental disabilities, or requiring assisted living support. Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor residents' safety throughout the night by conducting regular rounds and patient observation to identify any changes or concerns
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as toileting, mobility assistance using Hoist's or other equipment, and personal hygiene care
Administer medications following care plans and ensure accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR as needed, and coordinate with healthcare professionals or emergency responders when necessary
Maintain detailed records of resident conditions, vital signs, and any incidents during your shift
Support residents' nutritional needs by assisting with meal preparation and ensuring proper feeding routines are followed
Collaborate with team members to update and implement individualized care plans that address each resident's unique needs
Requirements
Proven experience in senior care, home health, hospice care, or long-term care environments; group home experience is highly valued
Strong knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care
Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or assisted living experience are preferred
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist residents with mobility using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
Demonstrated ability to work independently during overnight shifts while maintaining high standards of safety and care
