Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in a care home setting. This role involves supervising junior staff, developing care plans, and ensuring the well-being of our residents.

Duties

Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each resident's needs. Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and training as necessary. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition. Foster a warm and supportive environment for residents, encouraging social interaction and engagement. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care delivery. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of care services.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a senior care or similar role is essential. Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively. Strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents, families, and colleagues. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and documentation. A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents as needed.
