We are looking for a skilled and proactive Senior Care Assistant to join our team in a reputable care home. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. This role involves supporting residents with daily needs and ensuring compliance with care plans and regulatory standards. A valid driving licence is preferred for hospital transfers and transportation duties.
Key Duties
Supervise and support care staff to maintain compassionate and professional care standards
Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Implement, review, and update individualised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting concerns promptly
Support residents in social activities and encourage independence
Maintain accurate digital records using PCS systems in line with compliance requirements
Assist with medication administration and ensure adherence to protocols
Manage hospital transfers and liaise effectively with healthcare teams
Ensure safeguarding procedures and DoLS (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards) applications are correctly followed
Contribute to staff training and development programmes
Handle administrative tasks related to resident care and staff supervision
