Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of care assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in accordance with care plans
Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, mobility, and nutrition
Develop, review, and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members
Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly to senior management or healthcare providers
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems and paper records as required
Foster positive relationships with residents, relatives, and colleagues through effective communication skills
Support the organisation of activities and social engagement programmes tailored to residents' needs
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care environment
Assist with administrative tasks related to staffing rotas, training schedules, and other operational duties
Skills
Proven experience in senior or supervisory roles within a care home setting or senior care environment
Administration of medications
Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff effectively
Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members
Competent IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans electronically
Knowledge of care plans development and adherence to regulatory standards in senior care
Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Compassionate approach with genuine concern for the wellbeing of elderly residents
