Wollaton Care Home, are well-established residential care homes situated on Lambourne Drive in Wollaton.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Care Assistants to join our current team.

Position is for Night shifts and will include alternative weekends

Purpose of the Role:

To provide care for the residents under the guidance of the Home Manager and undertake other activities to assist in the running of the home as required

To assist with the residents care plan

Supervising the care team whilst also working as an integral part of the caring team and delivering the highest standards of personalised care to the residents.

Ensure that all residents are treated with respect and dignity, and that the resident's rights to privacy, dignity, independence and choice are met.

To supervise and support the care team. Ensuring that the Company's values of trust, respect and care are always maintained.

To act as a mentor to carer's by example and support in their supervision, development and appraisal.

To attend other staff meetings as required

Resident Focus:

To act as a keyworker for a number of residents

To assist the residents in personal care including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting needs.

To participate in the formulation and maintenance of individual care plans for each resident.

To liaise with other Care Professionals relating to the care needs of the residents

Promptly respond to call bells

To report any incidents or accidents immediately to the Home Manager

To ensure that all residents are socially presentable in appearance at all times

Recording resident information in the resident care notes as needed.

Knowledge skills and experience required;

Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively on all levels and be a team player.

Minimum of NVQ Level 2 but MUST be completing NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a care setting
