We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care within a reputable care home setting. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise a team of Care Assistants, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times
Support residents with daily activities including personal care, mobility, and medication management in accordance with individual care plans
Develop, review, and update personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members
Monitor residents' wellbeing and respond promptly to any changes or concerns
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and company procedures
Assist in organising activities that promote residents' social engagement and overall wellbeing
Maintain accurate documentation using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members to foster professional development
Knowledge of E mar and E care plan.
Qualifications
Proven supervisory experience within a care home or senior care environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide team members effectively
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise confidently with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
Valid driving licence preferred to support transportation needs when required
Knowledge of care plans, safeguarding procedures, and relevant health & safety regulations
Competent IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
Experience working within senior care or elderly residential settings is highly desirable
