We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Worker, to provide essential support and care for 34 elderly residents in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents, ensuring their comfort and safety are paramount. This role requires a proactive approach to care, with an emphasis on personal attention and respect for the dignity of each resident.

experience of leading a team
in a care environment, have a minimum Level 2 in Health and Social Care and willingness to train to do Level 3 and medication administration. A passion for providing high standard care and a kind, caring disposition is essential to this role.

Responsibilities
Engage in behaviour management techniques to promote positive interactions and emotional well-being
Supervise care staff and ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in resident's conditions to the relevant professionals
Supervise residents during activities and ensure their safety and comfort at all times
Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming
Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members
Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills related to senior care and IT systems used in the care environment
Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as necessary
Skills
Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred but not essential
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide others effectively
Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them accurately
Experience in residential care home settings is highly desirable
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with residents from diverse backgrounds
Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for providing care
Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy
Familiarity with care plans and an understanding of the needs of individuals requiring support in a care home setting
