We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to clients in various care settings, including home care, assisted living, nursing homes, and hospice environments. Duties
Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Administer medication in accordance with prescribed care plans and medical instructions
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
Support clients with light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean environment
Monitor and document client health status, behaviour, and progress as part of case management
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety at all times
Drive clients to appointments or outings as required, maintaining safe driving practices
Follow established care plans and adapt approaches based on individual needs and conditions such as Alzheimer's or dementia
Skills
Proven experience in senior care, dementia care or hospice environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
First aid certification is essential; additional training in nursing home or care home settings is advantageous
Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques for patients with cognitive impairments
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and manage physically demanding tasks
Organised with the ability to follow detailed care plans accurately
Valid driving licence for transportation duties; good driving record required
Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others
