We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our organisation's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial data. Duties
Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with recognised accounting standards.
Oversee the organisation's budgeting process, providing insights and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms to maintain accurate financial records.
Monitor cash flow and optimise financial performance through effective management of resources.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
Implement internal controls to safeguard organisational assets and prevent fraud or errors.
Lead the finance team, providing guidance and training on best practices in financial management.
Skills
Proven experience in financial management within a similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or comparable programmes.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and overall financial reporting standards.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
Ability to adapt quickly to new systems or regulatory changes within the finance sector.
