Job Description

You will be a reliable individual, able to work on your own to complete tasks efficiently and effectively within a food factory setting, whilst observing and maintaining safe working practices and procedures.

Your duties will be: Work as part of a team to ensure the effective running of the production area, including assisting with maintenance, production and dispatch when required; Ensure work area and machinery is clean prior to start up of production and between product change over; Ensure adequate levels of raw materials are available and maintained throughout shifts; Manually lifting, and weighing product, working with works orders, completing all required quality forms and checks; general housekeeping of factory area; assisting with waste control; working to Rich Sauces' quality standard. Other duties may include making sample kits up and once fully trained making product.

Essential criteria: Excellent attention to detail; Health and safety awareness in a factory setting; Ability to follow instruction and work independently when required; Basic knowledge of computers with the ability to operate computerised stock control system; Knowledge and understanding of hygiene standards expected in food production. You will also have the ability to operate a packing line to the required efficiency and quality standard once fully trained. Ability to manually lift product of varying weights is also essential as part of this role.

Desirable criteria: Experience of working with food, training in food hygiene; Manual handling training; Chemical handling training; Health and safety qualification; Valid forklift licence.

Pay: From 16.60 per hour
