Night Shift Manager - Towy Castle Care Home

14.00 per hour

Hours:

35 per week | 3 nights on, 3 nights off

Shifts:

10:00 PM - 8:00 AM (includes weekends & public holidays)

Permanent, Full-Time

We're seeking a dependable and experienced Night Shift Manager to oversee our night care team at Towy Castle Care Home. If you're calm under pressure, confident leading a team, and passionate about high-quality, person-centred care, this role could be the perfect fit.

About Towy Castle

Towy Castle is a 61-bed residential home, set in stunning landscaped grounds overlooking the Towy estuary. We specialise in residential and dementia care for older adults. With over 35 years of service, our dedicated team is proud to deliver professional, compassionate care day and night.

Your Role

As Night Shift Manager, you'll ensure residents feel safe, supported, and respected overnight. You'll lead the care team, provide hands-on support, and ensure high standards are upheld throughout every shift.

Key responsibilities include:

Supervising and guiding night staff to deliver safe, compassionate care Assisting residents with personal care and comfort overnight Carrying out regular checks, responding promptly to emergency calls Maintaining security of the home and safety of residents Administering and recording medication in line with procedures Leading effective handovers to ensure continuity of care Supporting and mentoring staff, providing on-the-spot guidance Keeping accurate records including care notes and incident reports

What We're Looking For

? Previous experience in a senior care or supervisory role (essential)
? Knowledge of dementia and elderly care (essential)
? NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
? Strong leadership and communication skills
? Calm, dependable, and confident in emergencies
? Flexible to cover weekends and public holidays as part of the rota
