We're looking for a hands-on, reliable Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our busy recycling facility on the night shift. If you're mechanically minded with experience in maintaining conveyor systems and heavy machinery, this is a great opportunity to take on a key role in a growing, sustainable industry.
To ensure the smooth running of the operation you will be:
Working as part of our on-site engineering team, you will be responsible for keeping our plant running safely and efficiently. The focus will be on preventative and reactive maintenance of our conveyor belts and maintenance required for shredder operations, ensuring minimal downtime for the plant.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out scheduled and reactive maintenance on mechanical equipment Troubleshooting faults and repairing machinery (including conveyor belts and shredders) Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety and compliance standards Keeping accurate maintenance records and shift reports
The successful candidate will:
Have proven experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally in a recycling, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment Have a strong working knowledge of conveyor systems and shredders Be able to work independently on the night shift Be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills and attention to detail
