Night Shift Site Engineer
Our client is looking for a Night Shift Site Engineer to monitor the construction of the cladding in the tunnel each night as part of the Q6 Cladding installation works in the Main CTA Tunnel at Heathrow Airport within the ARP portfolio. You will be required to work on night shifts with shift patterns along with night shift team, you will be reporting to shift engineers on night shift or day shift.
The project is currently in a position where the programme has maturity, and the cladding installation date is approaching. This role requires a strong, experienced and hardworking engineer to help the team through a collaborative approach with our Client and Supply Chain to deliver this important project on time, safely and in budget.
Key Duties

  • Support the shift engineer on nights in day-to-day subcontract management and writing shift reports and monitoring progress
  • Take charge of short-term programming and sequencing, aligning with the main project schedule by reviewing and supporting subcontractor with short term planning and progress monitoring
  • Completing Inspection and Test Plan Check sheets progressively as the works progresses
  • Support lead shift engineer to efficiently manage day and night shift activities for effective program delivery.
  • Oversee the diverse work scope, collaborating with supervision to streamline operations efficiently.
  • Lead our approach to health, safety, sustainability, and the environment, prioritising personal safety and well-being.
  • Ensure permits, RAMS, and QA documents are in place and completed as required for your works.
  • Promote efficiency and ongoing productivity improvements, establishing best practices for the team and delivering added value for our customer.
Essential
  • Civil engineering qualification and practical delivery experience.
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • Good record keeping and awareness of the importance of records.
  • Good at working in teams with other engineers, supervisors and supply chain partners to achieve your teams' tasks.
  • Confident to ask questions to ensure you understand your tasks and raise concerns or challenge anything you don't believe to be right out on site.
  • Able to identify opportunities to improve our quality and productivity through best practice, process improvements and continuous improvement practices.
