About the Role

Roffes Transport are seeking a reliable and diligent

Night Shift Security/Transport Operator

to join our team. This dual-role position is primarily focused on site security, with some light transport operations responsibilities. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth overnight operation of our site.

Key Responsibilities

Security Duties:

Staff the gatehouse throughout the shift, monitoring all vehicle and driver movements. Maintain accurate logs of vehicles entering and leaving the site, including registrations and trailer numbers, using our simple online logging system. Allocate vehicle keys and pre-planned driver job paperwork. Conduct periodic perimeter checks during the shift, following the designated security checklist.

Transport Operations Duties:

Provide updates to customers regarding any overnight delays when necessary. Prepare a clear handover report for the day shift team each morning.

Skills & Requirements

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to work independently and remain alert throughout night shifts. Basic computer skills to update online templates and email handovers. A calm, professional, and approachable manner. Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or security environment is desirable but not essential.

Training & Support

Full on-the-job training will be provided. This role has become available due to retirement, and there will be a full transition and handover period with the outgoing team member to ensure a smooth start.
