We are currently seeking a full-time Night Supervisor to join our team as our family business continues to expand and develop. In this role, you will provide late-night bar cover, function set-up, night porterage, and Reception support under the direction of the Night Manager.
Night Operations Oversight
Successfully take charge of ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during night hours, overseeing the efficient functioning of all aspects.
Proactively address and resolve issues or emergencies at source and in a timely manner, with a primary focus on maintaining a safe secure and inviting environment for our residents and visitors.
Lead and manage all hotel operations during the night shift, Assist the Nights Manager in implementing strategic measures to enhance guest satisfaction and safety.
Act as Duty Manager, actively addressing and resolving complaints, disturbances, special requests, and other issues to meet performance objectives, safety and service expectations and standards.
Assist the Nights Manager and Fill in the position in the absence of the Night Manager.
Carry out all duties set by the Night Manager / Front of House Manager.
Supervisor the work of Night Porters
Main Responsibilities:
Be conversant and compliant with all Front Office Systems and Bar operations
Efficiently and professionally handle guest queries
Greet and check-in guests arriving during your shift in a professional and proficient manner
Occasionally assist guests with their luggage and serve as a point of contact to ensure all requirements are met during their stay
Execute guest departures in a professional and proficient manner
Provide a security function for the hotel in line with company operating and security procedures
Record observations in the Duty Manager diary
Provide efficient handovers to the Duty Manager or Receptionist
Have thorough knowledge of and adhere to company regulations regarding:
Fire regulations and night-time evacuation procedures
Health and safety regulations
First aid procedures
Licensing laws
Undertake general cleaning and maintenance duties
Perform special duties or work outside the normal daily/weekly routine within the overall scope of the position at the request of the Night Manager, Operations Manager, or General Manager
Communication and Reporting:
Successfully foster and sustain open, effective communication channels with the Nights Team and other departments and day shifts in a robust and comprehensive manner.
Proactively provide the management team with reports and updates on night operations, highlighting noteworthy incidents or achievements.
Guest Services:
Welcome and engage with guests upon their arrival, ensuring personalised preferences are met, and appropriately accompany them to their accommodation as needed.
Accurately and in a timely way, communicate nightly events, group and individual arrivals, and specific requests from returning guests to the Night team.
Safety and Compliance:
Implement and uphold all fire safety procedures and remain current with updates on new procedures and training.
Immediately report or deal with suspicious persons, activities, or hazardous conditions in an appropriate and timely way and pass all details following to the Hotel Reception Manager during handover, contributing to a secure and compliant environment.
Facilitate a seamless transition in hotel operations by effectively taking over from the previous shift, aligning with objectives for operational efficiency.
Effectively supervise all areas of the building during shift.
Efficiently manage various operational facets, including room service, kitchen activities, public area cleaning, outdoor maintenance, and deep cleaning tasks, with a commitment to meeting established target.

Holidays: Up to 30 days holiday per annum based on full-time (part-time colleagues' holidays calculated pro-rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week nights, including weekends and bank holidays
