Team Leader

to join our team at Whitegates Care Home a home where residents are at the centre of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and support a team of care staff to deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents, including those living with dementia. Ensure daily care practices promote personhood, dignity, independence, and wellbeing. Be a role model for best practices in supporting older people, using evidence-based approaches and compassionate leadership. Complete and evaluate digital care plans, risk assessments, and care reviews in collaboration with residents, families, and health professionals. Support with medication administration and ensure compliance with regulations and company policies. Take responsibility for the wellbeing of residents and support their physical, emotional, and social needs. Promote a warm, inclusive, and homely atmosphere within the service. Mentor new staff, support training, and contribute to the ongoing development of the team. Identify and pursue opportunities to develop a specialist interest (e.g. dementia care, end-of-life care, activities and engagement, nutrition, etc.) with support from the management team.

About You:



Previous experience in a care setting is essential; understanding the needs of people living with dementia and the principles of personhood is highly desirable. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A natural leader who can motivate, support, and guide others. Diploma or NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (minimum) - Level 3 preferred or a willingness to work towards it. Hands on,compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to delivering exceptional care. Flexible and committed to working a variety of shifts including some evenings and weekends.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 13.00-15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
