To support the Registered Managers and all senior staff in all aspects of the home's management.
Principal Responsibilities
Help to manage the day-to-day running of the home and to act as person-in-charge at night
You are the most senior member of staff on duty.
Help to ensure that all staff contribute to the best of their ability to the efficient running of the
home and the creation of the right atmosphere.
Assist service users with their personal care needs and help to provide health supervision and attention through direct care when needed.
Help with the formulation of care plans for new service users and with service user reviews.
Help to control the issue of drugs for which the home has taken responsibility and to maintain the necessary records.
Help to ensure that rooms and common spaces are properly cleaned and maintained and adequately heated.
Participate in staff meetings and in staff training and development activities.
Support the Registered Managers in their duties as the "responsible officer" for the home under the Care Standards Act, Health and Safety at Work, etc Act 1974 and the fire regulations.
Help the Registered Managers maintain such log books and records as may be required by the registering authority and the Director.
Person Specification -- Essential Criteria
Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
Able to take responsibility.
