Job Description

Wollaton Care Homes, are well-established residential care homes situated on Lambourne Drive in Wollaton.

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our current team.

Positions is for Night Shifts, 19.30-07.30 and will include alternate weekend work

Purpose of the Role:



- To provide care for the residents under the guidance of the Home Manager and undertake other activities to assist in the running of the home as required

- To assist with the residents care plan

- Supervising the care team whilst also working as an integral part of the caring team and delivering the highest standards of personalised care to the residents.

- Ensure that all residents are treated with respect and dignity, and that the resident's rights to privacy, dignity, independence and choice are met.

- To supervise and support the care team. Ensuring that the Company's values of trust, respect and care are always maintained.

- To act as a mentor to carer's by example and support in their supervision, development and appraisal.

- To attend other staff meetings as required

- To complete Supervisions

- To book medication in and out of the building

Resident Focus:



- To act as a keyworker for a number of residents

- To assist the residents in personal care including washing, bathing, dressing and toileting needs.

- Complete regular checks

- To participate in the formulation and maintenance of individual care plans for each resident.

- To liaise with other Care Professionals relating to the care needs of the residents

- Promptly respond to call bells

- To report any incidents or accidents immediately to the Home Manager

- To ensure that all residents are socially presentable in appearance at all times

- Recording resident information in the resident care notes as needed.

Knowledge skills and experience required;



- Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively on all levels and be a team player.

- Supervisory Experience

- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care

- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a care setting

- Minimum of 1 year in a Senior / Team Leader Role

- Reliable
