We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in commercial driving. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to Palletways Fradley and Lockerbie. The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while adhering to all transport regulations.

Working Pattern Mon-Friday, Starting 8pm at our Lockerbie yard DG11 2SD going to Palletways Fradley WS13 8NE.

Duties

Operate Double Deck lorries for the transportation of goods to Palletways Fradley and back. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road, promoting a culture of safety. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E or equivalent) with a clean driving record. Strong understanding of transport regulations and safety standards. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
