Are you passionate about agriculture and looking for a flexible, self-employed role? NMR is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Milk Recorder to join our team in North Devon. As a Milk Recorder, you will visit dairy farms throughout the area to collect and record milk yield data and samples from individual cows. This essential information helps farmers manage herd health, improve milk production, and meet industry standards. You will be responsible for accurately identifying and recording each animal, using handheld technology to enter data, and ensuring milk samples are labelled and stored correctly for laboratory analysis.
The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work autonomously. A background or interest in agriculture or livestock is beneficial, but full training will be provided. You must have a full UK driving licence, access to a reliable vehicle, and be comfortable working early mornings or evenings, as most farm visits are scheduled outside of milking times. Good communication skills are essential, as you will liaise directly with farmers to coordinate visits and report findings.
