Are you looking for flexible self-employed work in the Truro, Newquay, and surrounding areas? NMR is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Milk Sampler to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, values accuracy, and is comfortable travelling between local dairy farms.
As an NMR Milk Sampler, your primary responsibility will be to visit designated dairy farms according to a pre-arranged schedule to collect milk samples from tanks and milking parlours. You will be required to accurately record data, follow strict hygiene standards, and ensure that samples are correctly labelled and stored for transportation to the laboratory. You will also communicate directly with farm staff to coordinate sample collections and resolve any queries regarding the process. This role involves handling sensitive data and requires adherence to company protocols and confidentiality at all times.
To succeed in this role, you must have a full UK driving licence and access to your own reliable vehicle. Good organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work unsupervised are essential. Previous experience working in agriculture or the dairy industry is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided. Applicants should be prepared to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings, to accommodate the needs of local farms.
