Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and young people (CYP)? We are looking for an RMN/RGN/RSCN/RNLD who has the non-medical prescriber qualification and/or be willing to undertake non-medical prescriber training, along with experience in the assessment and treatment of people with neurodevelopmental needs.



As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will provide timely assessment of CYP who are referred to our ADHD pathway and provide care planning and support for their pharmacological and treatment plans. You will provide support, advice and education across our Mindworks Service and the wider network regarding CYP and ADHD.



As part of a busy MDT you will deliver on the following key areas and lead teams with a particular focus on:



Early identification, management and intervention for CYP with neurodevelopmental needs. Support on the provision of non-medical prescribing. Interface with Mindworks as a whole and Pharmacological Services promoting connectivity and aiding effective care planning between the ND pathway and other services. Case load holder of CYP with diagnosis of ADHD. Provide nursing leadership within CYPS ND Team Provide supervision and training to qualified nurses and student nurses.

As the band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist you will commence the non-medical practitioner training within the first year of joining the service. If required, you will also undertake the training on Physical health assessment of Children and Young People. As this is a development post to a Band 8a, a tailored approach to your development will enable your readiness for transition to the Band 8a Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist NMP role.
