About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated
Deputy Manager (Non-Nurse)
to join our care home leadership team. The successful candidate will support the Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and operational excellence.
This role is ideal for an experienced senior carer, team leader, or care professional ready to take the next step into management.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Home Manager in overseeing daily operations within the care home.
Lead and motivate staff to deliver person-centred, high-quality care.
Ensure compliance with CQC standards, company policies, and health & safety regulations.
Contribute to staff training, supervision, and performance management.
Build strong relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders.
Support with care planning, audits, and reporting processes.
Act as a role model for professionalism, integrity, and compassion within the team.
Requirements
Minimum
3 years of experience
in a care home environment.
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care
, or equivalent.
Alternatively,
2-3 years' experience
in a team leader or senior care role with
NVQ Level 3
, and currently working towards Level 5.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
A genuine passion for improving the quality of life for residents.
