Job Description
Due to a new service user joining our service New Direction Support is currently looking to recruit Non-Complex Support Workers to join our expanding organisation. We are proud to have achieved GOLD accreditation from Investors in People.
Are you looking for a rewarding Support Worker role in Plymouth? We provide support and care services for a wide range of individuals with additional needs, and as a Support Worker you will be at the forefront of delivering our highly professional services.
We are looking for individuals who are able to work 24-36 hours per week including weekends on a rota basis
The Role
The successful applicant will receive full training from New Direction Support, including online mandatory training and in-house training. You will be required to:
Follow individual support plans Support individuals in the community and within their own homes Assist with maintaining tenancies and managing bills Promote independence, dignity, and choice
Important qualities we look for include:
Patience, understanding, and compassion Ability to deal with situations in a calm and methodical manner Willingness to follow clear policies and procedures Previous experience with dementia is preferred but not essential, as full training is provided
Expectations
Weekend work is involved on rota basis Minimum 24-36 hour contract Experience with dementia is preferred Flexibility Shift pattern: 08:00-20:00
