Job Description

We are looking for an Associate to join the non-contentious Construction team in our Bristol office. This role offers a wonderful opportunity to join an inclusive and friendly team, working with a variety of clients. It is anticipated that you will have demonstrable experience of non-contentious Construction Law and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
We are looking for someone who ideally has experience of:

• Construction legislation and practice
• Drafting and negotiating JCT and, NEC forms of contract and drafting bespoke schedules of amendments
• Drafting and negotiating professional consultant appointments
• Drafting and negotiating collateral warranties and bonds/guarantees
• Working knowledge of contract law and dispute resolution process
• Clean and renewable energy/projects experience would be beneficial

Whilst this role is based in the Bristol office there will be the opportunity for you to work with other fee earners within the non-contentious Construction team based at our other offices. It's vital that you're able to deliver exceptional client service at all times, that you're organised, able to work at pace and deliver to multiple deadlines.
The non-contentious Construction team forms part of the Real Estate department, which incorporates over 20 fee earners, meaning a vast amount of experience for you to draw upon. The firm also draws on its litigation team to provide contentious construction advice, working closely with the team and cross-referencing work.
